My ledger had an empty cell in the Pacific column for three cycles — Vietnam. No partner slot, no institutional address; only a large fanbase and a qualifier dream that existed on paper alone. The organisation has been named a partner of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific for the 2027–2028 cycle, in a discipline where it has not played a single match and does not yet have a roster. The slot did not arrive on competitive merit, it arrived on market reach, and that distinction is the fuel for the next dispute. The open qualifier pathway is therefore not only a ladder but also legitimacy cover for a contracted partner system. Note the Bangkok–Manila–Tokyo rotation too: Riot wants Pacific spread across markets rather than anchored in one hub — a fanbase-expansion signal, not a strength signal.
